Leeds Met students have collaborated with Leeds Rugby to bring fans a never before seen virtual tour of Headingley Carnegie Stadium.
A group of five Games Design B.Sc students won the opportunity to develop a virtual tour of Headingley Carnegie stadium, a range of mobile phone games and an online comic strip featuring the Carnegie Challenger. James Condliffe, Group Leader, said "The project has been challenging and has developed their skills and increased their client experience. This has been the group's final year project preparing them with real life industry experience prior to graduating later in the summer."
The group have worked really hard developing the computer based games and tour and we expect the fans will thoroughly enjoy them.
The online tour will be up and running on the website next month offering fans virtual behind the scenes views; including the players' changing room, accompanied by voice over or text commentary giving a brief history of the stadium.
Ever fancied testing your goal kicker skills on the Headingley Carnegie pitch? Fans will soon have the chance to download a mobile phone game allowing them to do just that; could you be the next Alberto Di Bernado?
Younger fans will be treated to an online comic strip featuring our very own Carnegie Challenger! The child friendly comic strip will highlight issues including healthy eating and being active in sport.
Please check the website regularly for updates, as more projects are planned as part of the partnership between Leeds Met and Leeds Carnegie.
