England Student's coach Steve Hill has included three Leeds players in his squad to face France in this Saturday's game in Tournon-sur-Rhone. First team players Richard Vasey and Scott Armstrong, who both attend Leeds Metropolitan University, have been tipped by Hill to give the side some extra firepower as they aim to follow on from last year's success when the team recorded an historic double over France. Leeds Carnegie Academy player Peter Wackett has also been called up into the squad for the first time.
Last season the England Student's achieved an 8-6 win in Cahors - their first on French soil in 14 years - and followed it up with a 19-10 victory at Iffley Road.
Commenting on the forthcoming fixture Hill said, "This will be a very tough fixture as France were smarting last year's results, particularly after we won over there for the first time in years. The game at Tournon is the centre piece of a huge rugby festival in the area and it's already a 6,000 sell-out."
The game between England Students and France Students takes place on Saturday 23rd February at 3pm at Tournon-sur-Rhone.
