England U20 captain Jacob Rowan said he was delighted with his side's opening day win over Wales in the U20 Six Nations.
England trailed 8-6 at half time but fought back to record an impressive 41-14 win over Wales.
Commenting after the game the Leeds Carnegie star said, "We knew we hadn't played the way we wanted in the first half but once we'd talked about things at half time then we came out firing.
"We wanted to play, to impose ourselves physically. We weren't at our best at the start but we corrected things ourselves and that's important.
"The forwards did a lot of great work and the work that the likes of Calum Green and Shaun Knight did in setting up my try and Joe Marler scoring two shows the sort of rugby we want to play."
