Last Wednesday the Leeds Carnegie community team, along with first team players Kearnan Myall, Pete Bucknall, and Pete Wackett were on hand at Selby Rugby Club to deliver coaching to 100 players aged from U8's up to U16's. The Leeds Carnegie players were given a warm reception from the club before they begun the coaching session and responded by delivering some quality coaching to the players present.
The areas the players looked at were tackling, handling, contact skills and games which tested the players' fitness, intelligence and overall rugby skills. After the coaching, the Carnegie players held a question and answer session in which the Selby juniors were given the chance to find out what it was like to live life as a professional player and pick up pieces of advice that may be of use for them in the future. The Selby juniors were then invited to attend the Leeds Carnegie rugby camp which will be held on Monday the 27th and Tuesday 28th of October where further Carnegie player visits will be made and quality coaching delivered.
