Winger John Holtby and back row Adam Balding are set to make a return to the Leeds Carnegie side this weekend when the team returns to Guinness Premiership action against London Irish at Headingley Carnegie Stadium on Sunday 27th January, kick off 3pm.
Balding, who has already made 3 appearances for the club during his loan spell from Gloucester, will start on the bench in place of Calum Clark, who returns to the starting line up.
Holtby who has impressed the Leeds coaches in training has been rewarded with a place in the starting line up. It is Holtby's first appearance in the side since the away fixture against Calvisano and will be the fifth time he has started a game this campaign.
Jon Dunbar also comes back into the starting line up, having missed last week's defeat against Castres. Leigh Hinton will revert to full back and Johnny Hepworth will start in the centre in place of Rob Vickerman who is named as a replacement. James Brooks is another change to the side who played in Europe last week, he will begin the game on the bench and will be looking to make his first appearance in the side since the league game against London Wasps at the start of the month. Joe Bedford will captain the team once again after Stuart Hooper was ruled out with ongoing injury.
Tom Biggs still needs just one more try to equal Dan Scarbrough as the highest ever try scorer in the history of the club. Biggs scored his 36th try in all competitions at the end of the League game against Sale Sharks.
