Leeds Carnegie's new signing Henry Paul has enjoyed a glittering career in both codes of Rugby that began in Yorkshire with Rugby League side Wakefield back in 1993. From there Paul went onto play for some of the biggest names in the 13 man code including Wigan Warriors and Bradford Bulls. At Wigan he made 147 appearances and won the Challenge Cup, the Grand Final, the Premiership Trophy three times and the Regal Trophy twice. With Bradford he scored 32 tries and scored 423 goals in 100 appearances and helped the Bulls secure the Challenge Cup in 2000 and the Grand Final in 2001.
From Bradford he made his first code switch to Union, signing for Gloucester. At Kingsholm he appeared in the Championship and Premiership Final and won the Powergen Cup with the Cherry and Whites. During this time he earned international recognition with England, earning six caps and was the star of the England Sevens side who won the Hong Kong Sevens twice. In 2006 he returned to Rugby League with Super League side Harlequins where he has scored 88 goals and 7 tries in 50 appearances.
