Unforced errors hurt us in the end - Lancaster

Leeds Carnegie Director of Rugby Stuart Lancaster said whilst there were positives to take from Friday high scoring encounter with Saracens ultimately his side were punished for their unforced errors.
Leeds scored their first try bonus point of the season with four tries from Mike MacDonald, Erik Lund and debutants Scott Armstrong and Appo Satala. However, Saracens crossed for six tries of their own to seal a 46-28 win.
Speaking after the game Lancaster said, "There were lots of positives but ultimately I am frustrated for the players. We showed lots of bits of our game are getting to the right level however unforced errors are hurting us and at this level you get punished. Those are the areas we need to fix up if we are going to move forward.
"I was pleased with a lot of our play especially our line out where Kearnan Myall took on the responsibility really well. In the first half we played in the right areas of the field and built up our score. At half time we spoke about how, if we carried on in the same vain, we could really challenge Saracens however we conceded two early tries and that gave them the momentum and left us chasing the game.
"I thought our replacements made real impact and I was pleased that we managed to score the four tries, the last of which was outstanding.  However the bottom line is that we need to be more consistent to compete at the highest level," added Lancaster.
