Leeds Career
James Brooks joined Leeds Carnegie at the beginning of the 2007-08 from London Wasps player on a two year contract ahead of the 2007-08 season. He made his debut off the bench in the first game of the season against Gloucester and scored two penalties in the fixture. Rugby Career
Born in Henley-on-Thames he played for his home town club early in his career before spending two seasons with Rugby League's London Broncos. He then joined Northampton Saints and came through their Academy system before joining Wasps in the summer of 2004. He made his debut at fly half on the opening day of the season against Saracens and went onto make a further 20 appearances for the side that season, but an injury ruled him out of action for part of his season. Over his three seasons at the club he made 33 appearances, scored one conversion and two drop goals.
He was part of a highly successful side at Wasps and in his time at Adams Park he collected a number of trophies, including the Premiership in 2005, the Anglo Welsh Cup in 2006 and the Heineken Cup in 2007.
Between 2003 and 2005 he was a regular for the England 7's squad, where he demonstrated his versatility in Dubai, at the start of the 2003/04 season, where he scored six tries having taken over at scrumhalf from the injured Simon Amor and was unlucky not to be named Player of the Tournament.
