Leeds Career

After suffering a career threatening shoulder injury during the 2006-07 season Danny Paul was forced reassess his playing future.  Through hard work with the Leeds coaches however Danny was able to bounce back and showed his versatility by adapting from his original position at prop to a new role in the second row.  It proved to be a fruitful move for the youngster who excelled in the new position proving he still has a long career ahead of him.
Despite only being only 21 Danny is one of the longest serving players in the club's history, having made his debut back in 2004 when Phil Davies called him into the side for the European fixture against Spanish side Valladolid after making a big impression in the A team. He made his second appearance in the starting line up against Worcester Warriors in the semi final second leg of the European competition at Headingley Carnegie.
Alongside his commitments with the first team Danny has continued to play a key role in the A team and in 2006 he was part of the won the Yorkshire Cup.  The following season he was promoted to the senior squad and Danny made 19 appearances as replacement over and grabbed his first try in the away fixture against Moseley. Last season he continued his progression and made 13 appearances, 7 of which came in the starting line up.

Rugby Career

Prior to joining Leeds Carnegie Danny played for Leo's, with whom he won the West Yorkshire 10's competition. He was one of nine Leeds players in the England U18 clubs squad last season.
