Leeds Career
Former Northampton and Leicester prop Colin Noon joined Leeds Carnegie last season on a two year contract from Biarritz and was the Stuart Lancaster's 17th summer capture in his first season in charge at the club. A vastly experienced prop who proved to be a valuable member of the squad during the club's bid for promotion. Colin made his first appearance for the team in the win against Pertemps Bees and went onto make 20 starts and 3 replacement appearances over the season. The following season as the team returned to the Guinness Premiership Colin's experience was a valuable asset and he was a regular in the first team for the opening half of the season until a neck injury ruled him out for the second half of the campaign. Colin announced his retirement at the end of the season in total he made 31 starts and 5 substitute appearances for the team.
Rugby Career
Noon was part of the Scotland A squad that made it to the Churchill Cup Final in Canada 2006 alongside his Leeds team mates Jon Dunbar and Tom McGee. He started the 2005-06 season in the Guinness Premiership with Northampton and made his debut for the side against his former club Leicester but his appearances for the Frankins Garden outfit were cut short due to a calf injury. He then enjoyed a short spell with Heineken Cup runners up Biaritz in the year they clinched the Top 14 title. Bridgend-born Noon has also played for Welsh clubs Aberavon and Bridgend and toured with Scotland on their 2004 summer trip to Australia. He spent a season on loan from Leicester with National One side Rotherham, making his debut for the Yorkshire team in a win against Plymouth, however injury and suspension once again limited his appearances.
Personal Details
Colin's favourite programme is Lost and he enjoys listening to music by the Bee Gees. His greatest achievement is his children and before a game he follows one pre-match superstition of always having to put his left sock on first.
