Young Leeds scrum half Alex Black is a former pupil at Prince Henry's Grammar School in Otley and combines his playing career in the Leeds Academy with studying for a Sports Performance degree at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Before joining Leeds Carnegie Alex played for Harrogate and Ripon. He has won representative honours with Scotland at U17 and U18 level and it is his ambition to play for the U19's. The most memorable game he has played in was against England U17's and his proudest moment was making his international debut.
Whilst growing up Alex also played cricket and badminton and also enjoyed kayaking. When his playing career is over he would like to go into teaching and if he could be another person for the day it would be Bill Gates. Alex supports Arsenal football club and his favourite film is Happy Gilmore.
