Andy Key became the Leeds Carnegie Director of Rugby in 2008 after previously working with Leicester as their Head of Rugby Development. Key was born in Market Harborough, educated at Welland Park High School, Market Harborough Grammar School and Leicester Polytechnic.
At Leicester, Andy Key worked under the likes of Dean Richards, Pat Howard and most recently Marcelo Loffreda as Head of Rugby Development which included the positions of assistant first team backs coach and academy manager. He played for Tigers, following in his father's footsteps, between 1975 and 1981 and again from 1987-92. In between these two periods he played for Bedford and Nottingham.
Andy's father, Maurice, played for Tigers in the late '50s while his two brothers, Richard and Lance, have both been professional footballers. Andy spent 15 years in total at BSS Group Plc before joining Tigers as full-time General Operations Manager.
