Leeds Career

Giles has worked full-time for the Tykes since their promotion to the Premiership in 2001. He performs video and statistical analysis of the Tykes and their opponents. He is also involved in training. On top of this he produces highlight and motivational videos for the players and the club.

Rugby Career

Giles joined the Tykes after completing his degree at the University of Leeds, during which time he worked part-time for OPTA and the Tykes during their successful promotion campaign. Giles had a year away from the Tykes in 2004-5 season where he linked up with OPTA, heading up the provision of Rugby Union Analysis for many Premiership Clubs and for SKYSPORTS.

Personal Details

A keen sportsman, Giles enjoys many sports - particularly cricket. He plays for Beckwithshaw near his home in Harrogate - in the same league as fellow Tyke Mark Luffman. Giles is regularly in contact with former Tyke and close friend Diego Albanese, who keeps up to date on the Tykes progress through DVDs Giles sends him.
