Second Row Tom is originally from York and attended Lady Lumley's School in Pickering before joining the Leeds Academy. In 2006 Tom was part of the Leeds Development XV who captured the Yorkshire Cup after defeating Wharfedale in the Final. Tom followed this up last season with another impressive campaign when he was one of the outstanding players in the Academy side and was rewarded for his efforts when he was named Academy player of the Year. He is a talented ball carrying second rower in the mould of Paul O'Connell.
Before joining the club Tom played for Malton and Norton RUFC and he also gained representative honours with England at U18 level, whom he won the AER tournament with.
Tom's favourite film is Snatch and if he could choose an actor to star as him in a film it would be Jim Carey. As a child Tom's hero was James Bond and the person who has had the greatest influence on his career is Stuart Lancaster.
